A lifelong educator, Glenna Bouge worked for Central Valley School District for 33 years. During her professional career she has been a teacher, coach, athletic director, assistant principal and principal at both the middle and high school levels. Her experiences and involvement within the district, community and state level committees contributed to her depth of knowledge. Since her retirement from Central Valley School District she has worked for OSPI as a School Improvement Facilitator in the Yakima Valley and is currently working for Washington State University as a Field Supervisor for Student Teachers.
During Glenna’s time as an administrator in secondary education, she had the opportunity to oversee, schedule programs, and encourage student involvement in CTE programs that prepare students for work after high school as well as apprenticeship experiences and certification opportunities.
Major ongoing philosophies in Glenna’s life have been to collaborate with others, support students and develop programs that will promote all students toward life time success. Her current work with WSU continues her focus by coaching and preparing our next generation of teachers. “This preparation for their future begins at a young age therefore our programs, educators and community partners are a vital piece of the picture for this generation’s success. We hold a great responsibility towards this end. The continual reflection on and development of CTE programs provides this advantage for our students”.
